BRIEF
Good Day Foods is the parent brand of a multi-layer perishable goods company. They are set out to create affordable and easily accessible food solutions, creating a sense of familiarity whilst relating to their target customer.
First on the scene - Individually Wrapped Full Fat Processed Cheese Slices in the flavour: Cheddar. Main Goal: to promote the word “Singles” on the packaging, to make the word ‘known & associated” with their product.
By providing sliced cheese in a variety of packaged solutions (small portions - bulk buying), Good Day Foods aims to bring their product to the people - however they would need it.
SOLUTION
Our challenge was to create an identity that is not only accessible for shoppers - as Processed Cheese Slices is a broad concept - but to also provide value and a sense of relation to a wide variety of targeted users.
The phrase “Singles” became the starting point of the visual identity concept. With this idea in mind, we developed a visual element to highlight the importance of this phrase. By choosing a bold and organic styled typeface to mimic the kind of product, we have established a simple but fun way to relate this product to the target market.
This typeface became the backbone of the brand identity, to which we added a strong word-mark logo with hints of organic dynamism, a simple but bold packaging design system, with additional design elements based on contrasts, layering and fun!
Additionally - the logo design was done in such a way as to establish a presence while maintaining the most important message: simplicity. The logo design was done in a way to ensure that future products could fall under one umbrella company without the fear of the logo relating too specifically to a particular product.
The overall project creates a brand that is not only simple, but is bold, fun and effective.
